Our Vets

Wolds Veterinary Clinic has an amazing team of highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons.  With over 50 years of combined veterinary experience between them, you and your pet are in safe hands.

We have daily clinical case discussions, encouraging the sharing of each Vet’s knowledge and passion in their areas of interest, helping us to keep up to date with the latest thinking in medicine and surgical techniques.

  • Pete Dixon

    Pete Dixon

    Veterinary Surgeon - Director

    Pete obtained a degree in Animal Science from the University of Nottingham in 2001 and then went on to the University of Glasgow where he qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2005. He then worked as a mixed animal Vet in the Whitby area for 3 years treating all kind of animals, great and small.

    In 2008, Pete travelled to South Africa, where he worked as a game capture Vet, relocating rhino, giraffes, buffalo and many types of antelope for conservation and breeding programs. In 2009, he returned to Lincolnshire and started to locum for local practices, providing their holiday cover.

    In early 2010, Pete spent 6 weeks volunteering as a Veterinary Surgeon on the island of Java in Indonesia, where he carried out dentistry on the critically endangered slow loris, so they could be rehabilitated and released back in to the Java rainforest. In September 2010, Pete undertook a year long multi-discipline small animal internship at Willows Referral in Solihull. In October 2010, Pete then returned to Lincolnshire locuming and then in 2011 took up a permanent Vet position at a well regarded local practice.

  • Phillip Mutondo

    Phillip Mutondo

    Veterinary Surgeon - Director

    Phillip graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2005. He immediately took up a residency programme in the faculty of Veterinary Science where he developed his clinical knowledge and also helped mentor and examine veterinary students in their final year.

    Phillip came to the United Kingdom in 2007 where he sat the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons statutory examination and was duly registered as a practising Veterinary Surgeon in the UK in June of the same year. He then joined a small animal veterinary practice in South Yorkshire where he was part of a successful, forward thinking team for 2 years.

    In 2010, Phillip join a progressive small animal practice in the local area. He completed a 3 year post graduate programme through the University of Nottingham in small animal orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery in 2016, which has helped reinforce his knowledge and ability to perform complex and specialised surgical procedures.

  • Cat

    Cat

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Cat is a Veterinary Surgeon at Wolds Veterinary Clinic, having graduated from the University of Nottingham in July 2025 and joined the team in October.

    Originally from just outside Brighton, Cat relocated to North Lincolnshire to join a team she describes as warm, welcoming, and supportive.

    She enjoys all areas of small animal practice, with a special interest in small mammals such as rats and mice a passion that began during university, when she kept mice as pets, at one point caring for 15!

    Outside of work, Cat enjoys bouldering, painting, and rock music. She plays guitar and is currently learning the bass, and has previously performed at festivals and open-mic events.

    Steph

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Steph graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in July 2020 and began working at Wolds during the covid-19 pandemic. After spending so long in London she was keen to get back to the Lincolnshire countryside where she grew up to be closer to family and the friendly locals!

    During her studies she spent lots of time undertaking clinical experience at various different practices throughout the UK, but jumped at the opportunity to join the team at Wolds!

    Steph has a special interest in small mammals and exotics, particularly in rabbit medicine and working with owners to ensure we  provide the best husbandry practices for even the smallest members of their family.

    Outside of work, Steph enjoys spending time with her dog and two very cheeky rabbits, Rupert and Juniper, who always keep her occupied and seeing friends and family and travelling.

    The thing Steph most enjoys about working at Wolds is being part of the fantastic team.

  • Nicole

    Nicole

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Nicole studied at the Royal Veterinary College in London and graduated as a Veterinary Surgeon in July 2021.

    Nicole is originally from the Midlands but has many friends situated up here in Grimsby/Cleethorpes and loves the area so when she was offered a job here at Wolds she couldn’t say no!

    Nicole has a special interest in Ophthalmology in all species and is looking forward to seeing cases and gaining more experience in this area.

    Nicole also love all things small mammal, in particular rabbit and rodent medicine and hopes to work with owners to ensure we give the best housing, nutrition and treatment to these little guys.

    Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time with her two very cheeky rabbits, Violet and Henny and six rats as well as bird watching and reading.

    What Nicole enjoys most about working at Wolds is being part of the fantastic team.

  • Megan

    Megan

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Megan graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in July 2022 and is very excited to be finally working as a Vet in practice.

    Megan is from the Grimsby area so spent lots of time on University placement at Wolds and was absolutely delighted when asked to join our team!

    Megan is very enthusiastic to continue to gain lots of knowledge and experience in all areas of veterinary medicine. She has a special interest in emergency and critical care and looks forward to helping all species of animals when they’re in their most vulnerable moments.

    Outside of work, Megan loves to walk her dogs in the Lincolnshire countryside and along the beaches. She is also hoping to start horse riding again as has always owned and competed with horses before leaving for University.

    The thing she loves most about working at Wolds is being part of the Wolds family where everyone is constantly going above and beyond to support each other, the pets in our care and our clients.

  • Tatenda

    Tatenda

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Tatenda is a Veterinary Surgeon at Wolds Veterinary Clinic. He graduated in 2022 from the University of Zimbabwe and completed a year long residency at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Teaching Hospital in Harare, focusing more on surgery and also as a teaching assistant, tutoring the 4th and 5th year veterinary students.

    Tatenda joined Wolds Veterinary Clinic in April 2024 as a Veterinary Assistant while preparing for his RCVS conversion exams. Since December, he has been working as a UK qualified vet, contributing his skills and passion to the clinic’s veterinary team.

    His primary areas of interest are surgery, including both soft tissue and orthopaedics, and he is keen to further advance his career in this field.

    Outside of work, Tatenda enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends in the countryside, and keeping up with global news.

  • Daniel

    Daniel

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Daniel is a Veterinary Surgeon at Wolds Veterinary Clinic. He qualified from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London in 2024 and joined the Wolds Veterinary Clinic team in February 2025. Originally from Lincolnshire, he grew up in the Lincoln area and is pleased to be working close to home.

    Daniel is passionate about high standards of patient care and was particularly drawn to Wolds Veterinary Clinic due to its RWAF Rabbit Friendly Silver accreditation and ISFM Cat Friendly Gold status. He is proud to be one of the practice’s Cat Advocates and is looking forward to attending the ISFM Feline Medicine Conference later this year.

    He has a particular soft spot for greyhounds, lurchers and dachshunds. While he doesn’t currently have any pets of his own, Daniel is a devoted uncle to Kiwi, a three-legged cat who lost her leg following a road traffic accident.

    Outside of work, Daniel enjoys reading, walking and playing tabletop role-playing games.

  • Lloyd

    Lloyd

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Lloyd graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2022 and has worked at Borrowdale Veterinary Surgery, one of Zimbabwe’s most well-established practices, ever since. After successfully completing his RCVS statutory board examinations in 2025, he qualified to practise in the UK and was ready for his next adventure.

    In 2024, Lloyd also spent three months volunteering in Perth, Australia, gaining hands-on experience working with small animals and broadening his clinical and cultural perspective.

    While preparing for his exams, Lloyd visited the Wolds Vets in August 2025 and that was that. He quickly fell in love with the people, firmly believing that it’s the people who make or break a place. Luckily, he feels he’s found his people here.

    With a keen interest in Small-Animal Medicine and Soft-tissue surgery, Lloyd is excited to see where this Wolds journey takes him and looks forward to getting to know both clients and their pets along the way.
