Wolds Veterinary Clinic try and reduce invasive procedures wherever possible. An endoscope is a camera that can be inserted, for example, down the throat into the stomach to remove a foreign body such as a kebab stick. This removes the need for painful, open abdominal surgery which carries increased surgical risks and a prolonged recovery time.
Dr David Rodriguez Alfonso leads the department with a Certificate in Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery from The University of Extramural Studies and the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre.
